Suzuki is gearing up for the mega introduction of the Intruder 150, a new cruiser in the 150cc segment. This is the company’s first attempt in making a cruiser in the low-capacity motorcycle segment. It will be enjoying the convenience of being in a segment which does not have many models plying on the road. Once launched, it will be the biggest threat to the Bajaj Avenger 150 Street.
The new Suzuki Intruder 150 borrows its designing cues from the bigger capacity Intruder, the mammoth 1800R. The motorcycle will have a big edge over the Bajaj Avenger mostly because of the styling. The new motorcycle from Suzuki will be getting a huge bodywork which will be complemented by the striking headlamps cover design. The tank cowl has been designed to be aerodynamic, much more than its competitor. The rear pillion seat will be smaller.
The Bajaj motorcycle is a simply designed cruiser, whereas the designing of the Intruder is utmost attractive. In fact, it may well turn out to be the next big thing in the Indian two-wheeler industry.
Suzuki Intruder 150 Engine
The Suzuki Intruder is expected to carry the same engine as seen in the Suzuki Gixxer, a naked motorcycle from the company. However, the same 155 cc engine may be tuned in further to deliver more torque at lower revs, especially given the fact that the Intruder is a cruiser. The engine on the new motorcycle would be making a maximum power 14.6 bhp at 6,000 revs per minute. Expect the 14 Nm torque on the Gixxer to be tuned in further for the Intruder.
Suzuki Intruder 150 Features
The all-new Suzuki Intruder will come with a long list of features which can place it over the Avenger Street. The first and foremost feature that makes the Intruder stand out is the addition of LED units on the headlight and tail section. The headlight will be given projector LED units. To make the motorcycle sportier, it will come with an attractive twin exhaust. Single-channel ABS may also be added in the motorcycle.
Suzuki Intruder 150 Price
The Intruder 150 from Suzuki is expected to be one of the most affordable motorcycles in its class. We are expecting it to be priced somewhere close to the Gixxer, which would make it extremely competitive. A price of around Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 95,000 would be the perfect bracket.
