The WWE has spent ample time on its event management and continues to do so, except for a few incidents where the chairman makes a dramatic entry and tears the event list apart and orders a fresh one to be done within a matter of a few hours. Even the WWE Universe has accepted the things the way they are if the company decides to change them for good. However, the thing that was booed at the inauguration itself was the WWE 24/7 Championship which was inaugurated in the month of May by the WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.
With the WWE having set rules that the tile can be defended at any time and at any place, the WWE Fans have seen the title changing hands at a variety of places that are not even featured in the WWE Raw Results, WWE Smackdown Results or anywhere el;se. The fams get to know about it via Social media and that is when they are taken by surprise. So far, the Championship has been held by 26 different people and has changed hands 58 times with the reigns ranging from Mayor Glenn Jacobs to Kelly Kelly who is no longer apart of the WWE.
R-Truth is the reigning WWE 24/7 champion and has held it for the most number of days and for the most number of times with the help of Carmella, who will now appear on the WWE Raw brand post the latest draft of the superstars that took place this past week on WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown. The places where the WWE 24/7 Championship has changed hands also vary from a Wedding function to an airplane flying at around 30000 feet above the sea level. But that’s all where the excitement of the championship ends.
A lot has been already tried by the WWE regarding the WWE 24/7 championship and the WWE Universe now requires some brand new ideas to be excited to watch the title change hands. In the beginning, it was running all good and the fans were excited to see it changing hands due to its unpredictability, but then it was made to be with R-Truth alone, and by one way or the other, the championship was held by a single person alone, or his close ally such Carmella for R-Truth. This made the fans lose interest in the title and it was fanned by a WWE Hall of Famer making a remark that this championship is the worst belt ever created by the WWE.
The things have started getting monotonous with the 24/7 title and the WWE would not think twice in case it feels the viewers are no longer interested in the title. The Most likely forfeiture of the title is expected to take place post the 2020 Royal Rumble, but should it continue even aft6er tat, the WWE event mangers would have to be on their toes to get some really interesting storylines that can be associated with the reign changes the 24/7 Championship would be made to go through.
