Acidity or heartburn is an ongoing evil condition amongst many humans. These days, people are hardly getting time to take care of themselves and running from ‘A’ to ‘B’ to make ends meet. In course of this rat race, they often ignore their health and turn a blind eye towards alarming signals (symptoms) that warn them about their deteriorating health.
People go through a lot to find a good remedy for Acidity because this condition takes a toll on their lives and can come uninvited. But Acidity or heartburn is one of the few lifestyle related conditions that are treatable and can be eradicated if they are meticulously managed. A few, little tweaks in your lifestyle are enough to make the Acidity go away.
Two of the main components of treating Acidity with home remedies are:
- Yoghurt: Yoghurt is packed with the goodness of probiotic bacteria and therefore is known to provide fast relief from acidity. Regular yoghurt consumption results in neutralizing the acid in the stomach, healthy gut and as a result avoiding the dreaded ulcers.
- Cumin: Also known as Jeera, cumin seeds are a boon for people who suffer from acidity. Having jeera for acidity can be done in various ways. It can be had as a ‘jeera tea’ by boiling a pinch of Cumin seeds in a glass of water or as a ‘jeera salt’ dry roasting some cumin seeds, grinding them and adding some black salt to it.
The best remedy however, is having buttermilk or Chaach with jeera salt. As it has the goodness of both; the yoghurt and cumin.
