AFCAT 1/2018 is an officer service portal for three branches in the air force such as flying branch, Technical branch and the Ground Duty branch. It is the enrolment examination which is held by the Indian air force. This entrance exam is held twice in one year in two months such as February and August. And the registration for them is to be available in December and June respectively. AFCAT 1/2018 entrance exam is relevant for both Male as well as Female applicants and who so ever have successfully completed their Graduation. The applicants who so ever desire to apply for the entrance exam can now register themselves till 23 January 2018 as the last date for registering has been extended by the authorities. Below are mentioned some of the changes which are updated by the officials and will be carried out from vary current year. This AFCAT 1/2018 entrance exam will be held through online mode from 2018 for the officer’s cadre as it is mentioned in the below given information. This program will be useful for 4 lakh candidates approx. to attend the entrance exam. And according to the documentation from the past year the number of exam centres has been increased to approx. 760 centres from all over country. The officers in Indian Air force have been there from all the three branches such as National Defence Academy (NDA), CDS (combined defence services) and Air force common admission test (AFCAT). The AFCAT 1/2018 will be available for all the three stated branches or routes. The participants who will successfully clear the entrance exam will be given a commission which is also known as Air force commissions. Some of the changes were occurred in this entrance examination which is mentioned below:
As there are two types of commissions which are such as Permanent commission by which the applicants can perform for the country until the age of their pension but this commission is applicable only for the male participants. Similarly the short service commission is in which the applicants will get a commitment period of flying branch which will be only for 14 years and the starting occupation of this commission will be 10 years. This commission is available for male and female both applicants. All the three branches for which the applicants can register or apply for this entrance exam are: The Flying branch which is a branch where every eligible and interested participant is trained as a fighter pilot or helicopter/plane or any other transport’s pilot. The second branch or department is where a candidate has to regulate all their human and material assets and this branch is familiar as the Ground branch. The third branch or department is known as the Technical department where the applicant will be trained to be the supervisor of some of the very advanced and important equipment’s which are useful in the Indian Air Force (IAF).
